Photography allows a moment to be frozen and immediate all at once, sometimes benign and malevolent simultaneously. I am drawn repeatedly to this contradiction. (I do also appreciate the quickness of photography compared to the interminable slog of film production.) I don’t have formal training or agenda just take photos of what interests me: light, shadow, trees, occasionally people .
I had a gallery show in April 2024 at the Hoffman Arts Center in Manzanita Beach, was published recently by Oregon Humanities Magazine, Docu Magazine and North Coast Squid. Additional photos are forthcoming in another publication.
